Meta charges for every template and service message your business sends, with two exceptions. The cost depends on the type of message and your customer's country.

Meta charges per delivered message

Each message your business sends has a rate based on its category and the country of the receiving number. Messages your customers send you are not charged.

What is WhatsApp coexistence?

It means connecting the number you already use on the WhatsApp Business app to the official API without removing it from the app. The same number works on both sides: your team can stay on the phone while the CRM and AI agents receive and send through the API. Messages are mirrored between both.

Do I lose my chats or contacts when connecting the API?

Not with coexistence: your contacts and up to six months of chat history are synced. In a direct migration the number leaves the app, so before doing it we explain what happens to the history in your case.

How long does the connection take?

Under 4 hours from when you give us partner access to your Meta business portfolio. If Meta asks to verify the business, that time depends on its review.

How much does it cost to send messages through the API?
